Fillers Frequently Asked Questions

Fillers Frequently Asked Questions
  • How Much Do Fillers Cost?

During the consultation, we review the patient’s aesthetic goals and customize an anti-aging treatment plan accordingly.

We use several different brands of Fillers for full-facial symmetry, and pricing is ultimately dependent upon the areas of treatment. In general, lip enhancements typically require 1 syringe while facial balancing and contouring will require more and will be discussed in depth in the consultation.

Fillers can be combined with other procedures during the same appointment.

  • When Will I See Results?

Filler results are visible almost immediately, however patients should expect bruising, redness, swelling, and generalized inflammation around the treated areas.  Optimal results are typically seen 2 weeks post treatment.

As they say, “Rome was not built in a day.” Some patients may need 2 appointments to establish a full-face baseline with maintenance typically annually.

Don’t be surprised if you want to add more Filler once the swelling goes down. We’ve all felt that way!

  • How Long Do Results Last?

Results and longevity vary from patient to patient and are influenced by the location of the injection, the product choice, a patient’s age and individual characteristics, the area(s) being treated, if residual Filler remains from prior treatments, and the amount of Filler injected.

Filler treatments for the Lips and Smile Lines typically last anywhere from 6 to 12 months. Filler treatments to the Cheeks, Hands, Chin, and Jawline typically last anywhere from 9 to 12 months, if not longer.

  • What is the Recovery Time?

Typically, patients experience mild bruising and swelling, so we suggest you plan your procedure at least 3 weeks ahead of any special occasion.  However, if you have a more significant event such as a wedding, we recommend you book your appointment at least 1-2 months prior.

  • Does It Hurt?

Most Fillers are pre-mixed with lidocaine, so the treatment areas get relatively numb with little memorable pain during treatment. We also offer a topical numbing cream which we apply 20 minutes prior to treatment.

  • Can Fillers be Dissolved?

If you were treated with an HA Filler, a reassuring characteristic is that you can have some or most all of the HA Filler dissolved. Dissolving HA Filler may require several appointments and will be discussed in your consultation.
